Introduction
Would you like to be someone that creates order in the futures of child- and youth work?
- Then maybe you should consider bachelors in Christianity with specializing in youthministry.
Many researches show that youths to some degree believe in God, but the same research also shows that they believe He has some very boring friends and they therefore chose to stay away from the church.
They don't experience any connection between their "reality" and the church - and we often have to agree with them.
We could on occasions think that the church has somewhat pulled back in their efforts to connect with youth, - because what do we really have to offer these young, trendy types? The answer is simple; not much if we continue with the traditions that have survived themselves and preach about something that has "no point of connection" with the lives of young people. We would however have a lot to offer if we dare to step out of our "comfort zone" and seriously start concentrating on finding a meaningful way of communicating the history of Jesus.
